Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will travel to the Spanish capital, Madrid, tomorrow alongside members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Arab League Gaza Contact Group, following an invitation extended in light of Spain's decision to recognize Palestine.
The written statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the matter is as follows:
"Our Minister will visit Madrid on May 29, 2024, together with members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Arab League Gaza Contact Group, within the framework of an invitation extended on the occasion of Spain's decision to recognize the State of Palestine.
During the meetings, efforts toward achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and the recognition of the State of Palestine by more countries on the basis of a two-state solution will be discussed."
