Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced in a social media post today that 4,173 individuals had been captured across 81 provinces as part of the "Çember" (Circle) operations.

Former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu quoted the post in question and took a jab at Süleyman Soylu. Kaftancıoğlu stated the following:

"Was the person in that seat before you just twiddling his thumbs? It seems he couldn't find time for his actual duties because he was busy attacking me/people unfairly and insolently..."
