Former MHP deputy passes away
Former MHP deputy Mehmet Ekici has passed away in Ankara at the age of 70.
Mehmet Ekici, who served as an MHP deputy for Yozgat in the 20th term and for Ankara in the 23rd term, passed away this morning in Ankara due to health issues. The news of Ekici's death was announced by his son-in-law, Sinan Oğan, on social media.
In his post, Sinan Oğan stated: 'My father-in-law Mehmet Ekici has passed away. We will lay our late father to rest at the İncek Cemetery today following the funeral prayer to be held at the Bilkent Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque after the afternoon prayer. Our condolences will be accepted at the Ankara Grand Mercure Hotel this evening after the burial and throughout the day tomorrow.'
Mehmet Ekici's passing has caused deep sorrow in political circles and among his family.
