Former MHP mayor and four others arrested
In an operation conducted in Kırıkkale, 5 out of 12 people detained on charges of abuse of public office were arrested. Among those arrested is the former MHP Yahşihan Mayor Osman Türkyılmaz.
Following the instructions of the Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 people, including former MHP Yahşihan Mayor Osman Türkyılmaz, were detained in an operation carried out by the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch on May 27.
These individuals were questioned on charges of "gaining benefits by abusing the influence of a public official."
The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse following health checks.
Osman Türkyılmaz, Mustafa Tekertarla, Ülkü Toksoy, İbrahim Aktuğ, and Tayfun Arslan were brought before the court and sent to prison.
On the other hand, C.A., M.T., K.T., I.A., and F.M. were released under judicial control, while M.Ç. and A.Ü. were released by the prosecutor's office. The proceedings for those detained within the scope of the investigation are ongoing.
