Future Party responds to AKP's invitation: 'An effort to stay in power with Byzantine games'

As the countdown continues for the 8th Ordinary Congress, where significant changes in the AKP ranks are expected, another party invited to the congress has turned down the invitation with a scathing statement.

The New Welfare Party had previously criticized the AKP's transfer tactics toward their party in harsh terms, announcing that they would not attend the congress by stating, "We will not fall into the second-hand market of politics." This time, the rejection of the AKP, along with criticisms of transfer tactics and another very harsh statement, came from the Future Party.

ALLEGATIONS THAT SERAP YAZICI WILL JOIN THE AKP

On the day rumors circulated in political circles that Future Party MP Serap Yazıcı would join the AKP, Future Party leader Davutoğlu targeted the AKP with scathing words and announced that they would not attend the congress. The written statement included the expressions, "With 'Güneş Motel'-style tactics, some of our deputies are facing transfer attempts to be used as show material at the AK Party Congress."

"HEAVY PRESSURE AND TROLL ATTACKS ON OUR PARTY..."

The statement made by the Future Party is as follows:

"On the evening of Friday, February 21, an invitation to attend the AK Party General Congress to be held in Ankara on February 23 was conveyed to us. In principle, we believe that in this process where extraordinary conditions prevail in our country and the world, communication and consultation between parties in accordance with political courtesy is not a preference but a necessity. For this reason, since the moment our party was founded, we have accepted invitations from every political party regardless of our differences of opinion, and we have extended invitations to every party, including the AK Party, which has avoided all kinds of contact until now.

REMINDER OF GÜNEŞ MOTEL

However, during the process in which this invitation was made, we also witnessed some initiatives directed at our party that do not comply with any principle of political ethics and courtesy. Those who could not prevent the establishment of our party with heavy pressure and troll attacks, those who could not stop our party's organization with ruthless pressure applied locally, those who could not intimidate our party's important founders with barbaric attacks by street gangs and court cases, and those who could not prevent our party's representation in the TBMM and subsequently forming an alliance as a strong group, have this time engaged in transfer attempts to use some of our deputies as show material for the AK Party Congress with 'Güneş Motel'-style tactics, which have been etched into the memory of Turkish society.

"THOSE THEY EXPELLED HAVE SUDDENLY GAINED VALUE"

Deputies whom they previously expelled from the party with heavy accusations, whom they did not make deputies, whom they unleashed the Pelikan troll gangs upon, and whose universities they closed down and subsequently condemned to unemployment, have suddenly gained value. The holders of power have tried to make them support their corruption-ridden rule by persuading each deputy with different methods. Despite all the perception operations carried out over the last two years, our deputies have maintained their principled stance. However, unfortunately, we have also witnessed that they have been under the influence of these methods, albeit rarely.

"CERTAINLY NOT A COINCIDENCE"

If the issue were the qualifications of these deputies, they would probably not have been subjected to previous treatments that do not fit political ethics. The issue is that the Future Party has overcome all kinds of obstacles to enter the TBMM, and not only entered but also established a dual alliance with the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) and then a triple and strong alliance with the DEVA Party. It is certainly not a coincidence that these efforts of the government have increased during the formation process of this triple 'New Path' alliance.

Today, the political factor that scares the government the most is the presentation of a new alternative to the broad conservative masses who are disturbed by practices that alienate young people from our religion, shake national and spiritual values, impoverish large masses, disrupt our family structure, and create an empire of fear in the country with the bans it increases every day.

"CONQUEST EPIC IN SERIES, BYZANTINE GAMES IN POLITICS"

We have a clear message to the holders of power who exploit the epic of the Conquest in series and discourse, but try to stay in power with Byzantine games in real politics: No matter what you do, no matter whom you want to use as a tool for your own dirty interests, we are determined to present this alternative to our nation and to save our country, our nation, our state, and our religion from your self-serving encroachment. Under these conditions and in the face of these dirty games, we have decided not to attend the AK Party Congress.

Our message to our AK Party brothers and sisters who support this government with sincere intentions is also clear: The AK Party government was not built by one person, one group, or even one generation, but on the suffering and efforts of at least three generations, and it rose because it upheld the values of this heritage in its early periods. Later, however, with the corruption of power experienced at every level, it both disowned this heritage and caused it to erode to its roots.

Our stance is never against you. We, too, emerged from this great heritage with our shared past with you, and we are trying to protect the eroding values of this heritage with limited means and under pressure. We see that you are understanding us better as time passes, and we are patiently waiting for you to embrace the morality of the companions who even held Hz. Omar accountable and raise your voices.

Do not forget! Our Lord does not tell us to 'be a holder of power and authority,' but to 'be upright as you are commanded.' You see the end of those who focus their entire political life on power. No matter what happens, we will continue to 'be upright' without fearing anyone's condemnation or pressure.

May Allah make our words true, their effect public, our feet firm, and our stance as upright as an 'elif'.
