Future Party Spokesperson Serkan Özcan stated in a post on X, "As of today, I have resigned from my positions within the Future Party of my own volition."
In his statement, Özcan noted the following:
“The Future Party determined its new administration with the congress held today. I wish for the congress to be beneficial for our country and our nation, and I wish all my colleagues who have taken on duties great success. In this new period, I have resigned from my positions in the Future Party, where I have served since its establishment, of my own volition as of today. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my fellow Future Party members, especially my esteemed Chairman, my mentor Prof. Ahmet Davutoğlu, who gave me the opportunity to engage in politics with his experience, close interest, and sincerity from the very first day. I respectfully submit this to the information of the public.”
