Ankara corridors heat up: Date set! Surprise changes coming to the cabinet

Following the major loss experienced by the AKP in the March 31, 2024 local elections, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan initiated a process of radical change within the party organizations. TGRT Ankara News Coordinator Ahmet Sözcan drew attention with the inside information he provided during a live broadcast. Despite claims that the cabinet change might be delayed until September, he stated that surprise developments could occur within this week.

In his statement, Sözcan included the following remarks:

“There were those who said the cabinet reshuffle was postponed to September. However, I have received inside information that there could be some activity within this week. These are not certain; inside information sometimes may not materialize. But there are noteworthy rumors.”

According to the information provided by journalist Ahmet Sözcan, the critical date given for the possibility of a cabinet change is this Thursday. It is stated that Erdoğan could make changes in some ministries by this date, which could initiate a new process both within the party and in the public eye.

However, reminding that the final word on this matter will be said by President Erdoğan, Sözcan said, “A cabinet reshuffle is entirely at the discretion of the President.”
