Ankara in turmoil... Crisis at the Ministry of Interior! Ties have completely snapped
The scale of the tension between Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Deputy Minister Bülent Turan was visibly felt at the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee. Turan's absence from the committee prompted questions from CHP deputies, and the discussion was also reflected in the official minutes. It has been learned that Turan had previously reported his situation to President Erdoğan.
It is alleged that the ongoing tension between Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya and Deputy Minister Bülent Turan has finally led to a complete breakdown in their relationship.
The fact that a phone call Turan had been waiting for throughout the night never came until morning was recorded as a development that further strained his relationship with the ministry.
Turan was about to board a flight to Istanbul when the expected call finally came in the morning. However, this call came at a time when it was already too late for things to be mended.
The first detail that drew attention during the discussions at the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee was that Bülent Turan was not in his seat among the deputy ministers of the Ministry of Interior.
Turan, who would normally be expected to be right next to Minister of Interior Yerlikaya, had left his seat to the Ministry Secretary General Balamir Gündoğdu this time. This situation caught the attention of CHP deputies, and questions of "Where is Turan?" began to follow one after another.
According to Tolga Şardan from T24, Committee Chairman Mehmet Muş, as well as other AKP deputies, intervened in this silence at the committee. The debate, which entered the parliamentary minutes, showed that the tension was noticeable even in Parliament. The dialogue at that moment unfolded as follows:
"WHERE IS BÜLENT TURAN?"
Veli Ağbaba: “Mr. Chairman, Mr. Minister, I have a question: Where is Bülent Turan?”
Mehmet Muş: “Don't ask me that, dear friends.”
Veli Ağbaba: “Where is Bülent Turan, why is Bülent Turan not here?”
Mehmet Muş: “Mr. Ağbaba, why do you ask me every question?”
Veli Ağbaba: “He was a former Group Deputy Chairman. Was he dismissed, was he dismissed?”
Mehmet Muş: “Mr. Ağbaba, why do you ask me everything that comes to your mind?”
Veli Ağbaba: “Was Bülent Turan dismissed, Mr. Chairman?”
Mahmut Tanal: “You are the chairman, we are asking you because you are the chairman there, of course.”
Veli Ağbaba: “Where is Bülent Turan, why is he not here?”
Mehmet Muş: “Friends, thank you.”
Yaşar Tüzün: “You served as deputies together, he was a former Group Deputy Chairman, he was your counterpart, Mr. Chairman.”
Murat Bakan: “There is one person in the Ministry who knows parliamentary etiquette, and that is Bülent Turan. Or is he coming later?”
Mehmet Muş: “Friends, I was also a minister once, but I am not one right now.”
Veli Ağbaba: “Then why don't you defend his rights?”
Mehmet Muş: “He was a deputy then, I am not one now…”
It is alleged that Turan had previously conveyed the tensions he was experiencing to President Erdoğan.
