Calm before the storm in the AKP: Cabinet being reshaped: 'Bombshells of the last 48 hours'

Journalist Nuray Babacan evaluated the recent activity in AKP corridors in her article titled "Bombshells of the last 48 hours." According to Babacan, the main agenda of conversations within the party is the sweeping changes expected to be made to the cabinet.

It is stated that not only ministers but also deputy ministers will be subject to comprehensive changes. It is noted that, especially after the last Cabinet meeting, some ministers have suspended many processes, saying, "Let's see the situation, then we will act."

The expectation that the cabinet revision will take place after the AK Party's traditional Kızılcahamam camp is gaining weight in the corridors.

HIGH-LEVEL CHANGES EXPECTED AT TRT AND ANADOLU AGENCY

Babacan wrote that another topic as noteworthy as the cabinet is the wave of change in the bureaucracy. Especially after reports that Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun was being bid farewell, eyes have turned to changes in media institutions.

It is stated that changes in duty are imminent in many institutions, primarily TRT and Anadolu Agency. In this context, corridor information suggests that Anadolu Agency General Manager Serdar Karagöz will be appointed as the General Manager of TRT, and TRT Board Member Mücahid Eker will become the General Manager of Anadolu Agency.

In her article, Nuray Babacan also pointed out that circles close to President Erdoğan and "family members" are influential in these changes in duty.

It is rumored that some individuals are using these close relationships to obtain more powerful positions, and that these relationships are decisive in the new restructuring, especially in the fields of media and communication.
