Claim that a Turkish MP wanted to meet with Cemil Önal! New details in the mysterious murder

Cemil Önal, the accountant for Halil Falyalı, a key figure in the illegal betting and money laundering network in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, was killed in an armed attack on the terrace of the hotel where he was staying in the Dutch city of Rijswijk.

The incident took place at the Hoevevoorde Hotel. According to information provided by the hotel manager, while Önal was sipping his drink at a table, an individual with an uncovered face approached him, shot him from close range, and fled rapidly.

HE HAD FLED TO THE NETHERLANDS AFTER FALYALI'S DEATH

Cemil Önal, known as the "black box" of Halil Falyalı, who was assassinated in Kyrenia on February 8, 2022, was among the murder suspects after the death. He first fled to Turkey and then escaped to the Netherlands. Önal was brought before a court in the Netherlands on December 7, 2023, and was arrested.

BECAME A CONFESSOR, WAS RELEASED

Cemil Önal, whose extradition to Turkey was expected, became a confessor by providing a total of 120 pages of testimony to Dutch and US intelligence units. Thanks to this cooperation, he was released on March 25, 2024. Following his release, he was placed under police protection.

The Dutch police, who launched a large-scale search in the park around the hotel where the attack took place, announced that no arrests have been made so far. One female eyewitness said of the attack, "This was a straight-up execution. The man came directly, pulled out his weapon, and shot. There wasn't even an argument."

Following the murder of Halil Falyalı's right-hand man, Cemil Önal, in the Netherlands, new allegations have surfaced.

According to a report by Sözcü TV, it was stated that a Member of Parliament in Turkey wanted to hold a meeting with Önal following these emerging allegations, but this did not happen due to the assassination.

According to information shared by Veli Toprak, the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Bureau Chief for SÖZCÜ, he stated, "A member of parliament in the TBMM contacted Cemil Önal and said; 'I want to come to the Netherlands and meet with you. Will you meet with me, will you share what you know?' they made contact, they had a phone conversation," and added the following:

"Cemil Önal was not warm to the idea at first, but then the MP convinced him, and he was going to go to the Netherlands.
