Everyone was wondering about this question: MHP member reveals the name of the commission to be established
MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız has put an end to the debates regarding the name of the AKP's "Terror-Free Turkey" commission. In a statement made on social media, Yıldız announced that the name of the commission is the "National Unity and Solidarity Commission."
While debates continue regarding the name of the new commission to be established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Feti Yıldız, MHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Legal and Election Affairs, has put an end to the matter.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Yıldız announced that the name of the commission is the "National Unity and Solidarity Commission."
TRT HABER'S 'TERROR-FREE TURKEY' PREFERENCE
The name of the commission led to different interpretations among other political parties in the TBMM and media organizations. TRT Haber proposed "Terror-Free Turkey Commission" as the name of the commission.
Journalist Yıldız Yazıcıoğlu, in a post on her X account, brought up TRT Haber's preference, noting that the debates over the commission's name had intensified. Yazıcıoğlu also asked, "Will the commission's first day be the scene of a debate over which name will be used, given the DEM Party's objection and the MHP's 'Brotherhood and Solidarity Commission' proposal?"
DIFFERENT PROPOSALS ON THE AGENDA
Other proposals regarding the commission's name were also on the agenda. While Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu put forward the proposal of a "Liveable Turkey Commission," CHP leader Özgür Özel's demand for "Democracy for Istanbul" was also among these discussions.
Yazıcıoğlu stated that these names also drew attention from the public, who were debating the name of the commission.
However, despite all these differentproposals, MHP's Feti Yıldızmade a definitivestatementregarding the commission's name. Responding clearly to journalist Yazıcıoğlu, Yıldız used the phrase, "The name of the commission is: National Unity and Solidarity Commission."
