He brought that claim to the agenda: Convention investigation gains momentum again... Preparations for a trustee in CHP!

Journalist Can Ataklı made a striking claim, stating that the investigation launched into the 38th Ordinary Convention held by the CHP in November of last year has accelerated. Ataklı said that the process could result in the cancellation of the convention by court order and the appointment of a trustee to manage the party.

SSI RECORDS, ASSET INVESTIGATION

Noting that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has begun collecting numerous documents and records regarding the convention, Ataklı reported that, in particular, the Central Appointment System Commission report and Social Security Institution (SSI) records have been included in the file.

Can Ataklı stated that the assets of 86 people are also being investigated within the scope of the inquiry.

Commenting on the stage the investigation has reached, Ataklı said, “This means the cancellation of the CHP convention. The convention will be canceled by a court decision and a trustee will be appointed to the CHP. The process is evolving toward this.”

WHAT HAPPENED?

Within the scope of the investigation into the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention, the statements of 86 people, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, were taken. Among the suspects are CHP İstanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik and journalists Şaban Sevinç and İsmail Saymaz.
