Claims that Kürşad Zorlu, who resigned from the İYİ Party, will join the AKP have returned to the agenda.

TGRT Ankara Representative Fatih Atik announced during a live broadcast that Ankara Deputy Kürşad Zorlu, who resigned from the İYİ Party two weeks ago, will join the AKP.

"HE IS EXPECTED TO JOIN THE AKP"

Stating that it is almost certain that Kürşad Zorlu will join the AK Party, Atik's statements are as follows:

"Kürşad Zorlu is expected to join the AK Party. According to the information I received while coming to the broadcast, his move to the AK Party in the coming weeks is certain. He may take on a role at the Presidential Complex. Kürşad Zorlu is also not answering his phone."

HE HAD RESIGNED FROM THE İYİ PARTY

İYİ Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu had resigned from his party, saying, "In this mandatory situation, for me, as a child of this country whose compass always points to his nation, it is time to set out on the road again."

With Zorlu's resignation, the number of seats held by the İYİ Party, which entered parliament with 44 deputies in the 2023 elections, fell to 29. The number of independent deputies in Parliament rose to 13.
