Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who faces a 704-year prison sentence in the indictment on charges of leading a criminal organization, has parted ways with his partners. Aktaş's partners, Gürkan Dölekli and Nurettin Cengiz, have terminated all business relations with Aktaş and taken over the management rights in the companies.

Gürkan Dölekli, a partner of Aktaş known as a businessman, went abroad after testifying against Aktaş. Following this move, Dölekli decided to terminate all his partnerships. Nurettin Cengiz also ended his partnership with Aktaş, and the shares were redistributed.

The statements Aktaş made in an attempt to be released from custody had caused discomfort in his circle. In particular, the statements Aktaş made against his partners were influential in the termination of their business relationships.

HIS NAME ERASED

Following Aktaş's arrest, a management change was made at Güven Elif Otoyol A.Ş., which operates the fuel station on the TEM highway leased from the General Directorate of Highways. Gürkan Dölekli became the chairman of the company's board of directors. Aktaş's name was erased from the trade registry.

Aktaş's other profitable subsidiary, Perla Denizcilik, was also restructured by his partners Gürkan Dölekli and Nurettin Cengiz. Perla Denizcilik is primarily engaged in international fuel transportation, and the company's management passed to Dölekli on April 3, 2025. Perla operates in many international markets, including Cyprus.

Gürkan Dölekli, who had previously made headlines for having dinner with Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek in London, had also drawn attention due to this relationship. Şimşek had stated at the time that he was not the Treasury Minister. It was stated that Nurettin Cengiz, another important figure at Perla Denizcilik, is a member of the family of Mehmet Cengiz, who is known for his closeness to the government.

COMPANIES WITHOUT TRUSTEES APPOINTED

Following the arrest of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, trustees were appointed to 16 of his 23 companies. However, Güven Elif Otoyol A.Ş. and Perla Denizcilik were among the companies that were not subject to trustees. The fuel station affiliated with Elif-Güven Petrol on the TEM highway is the largest fuel station in Europe and the third largest in the world. Additionally, a shopping mall construction project is also underway.

Aktaş had previously claimed that Gürkan Dölekli paid a 300 thousand dollar bribe for the excavation and licensing procedures of the fuel station. Following this allegation, Dölekli was detained but was later released.

Within the structure of Perla Denizcilik, the first ship acquired in 2010 was renamed "Yeni Yüzyıl" in 2024. In the same year, two bitumen carrier ships built in China and flying the Liberian flag were launched under the names "Kıymet Ana" and "Havva Ana".
