The process, which began with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shaking hands with DEM Party deputies at the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and his subsequent historic call, has opened the door to a new era in the political arena.

Following Bahçeli's move, the DEM Party's Imralı delegation held a meeting with the terrorist organization's leader, Abdullah Öcalan, at Imralı Prison. After this meeting, visits to political parties began, and the process became even more concrete.

Following the last visit by the Imralı delegation, Öcalan called on the organization to "lay down arms and dissolve." Upon this, the PKK terrorist organization announced that they would not carry out attacks as long as they were not attacked themselves. Following these developments, the DEM Party moved on to the second round of its political party visits.

DEM PARTY SECOND ROUND VISITS

The DEM Party began its second round of talks by visiting the Labour Party (EMEP), the Republican People's Party (CHP), and the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA). On March 16, the party delegation will hold meetings with the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP), the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi), and the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi).

CRITICAL CONTACT WITH AKP AND MHP

The most notable meetings will take place on March 17. The DEM Party delegation will visit both the MHP and the AKP on the same day. According to the report by Hilal Köylü from Serbestiyet, Sırrı Süreyya Önder from the Imralı delegation will also participate in these meetings.

While the meetings are planned to be held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the AKP delegation is expected to be led by Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and the MHP delegation is expected to be led by Deputy Chairmen Semih Yalçın, Feti Yıldız, and İsmail Faruk Aksu.
