Is a new alliance coming to politics? İYİ Party figure responds to rumors

IYI Party Balıkesir Deputy and TBMM Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez was a guest of Şule Aydın, who is hosting the "Teke Tek" program in place of journalist Fatih Altaylı, who is currently detained in prison. Making statements regarding the current agenda, Çömez used notable expressions regarding the potential alliance discussions, particularly those being talked about among nationalist parties.

WILL THERE BE AN ALLIANCE WITH THE VICTORY PARTY?

While claims that an alliance could be formed between the Victory Party and the IYI Party have been frequently voiced in political circles recently, Çömez responded to the alliance rumors as follows:

"We need to fight against certain structures in order to normalize the country. We will take whatever steps are necessary to fight these structures. Of course, a clear decision on an alliance cannot be made today, but it is the responsibility of all of us to establish a unified alliance, to expand the common ground, and to continue on our path with a shared vision and dream."

EMPHASIS ON "WE ARE A CENTER PARTY"

Evaluating his party's ideological positioning, Çömez underlined that the IYI Party is not just a nationalist movement, but also a structure that represents center politics:

"Our party is a great party built on nationalist values. But besides this, we insistently and decisively maintain that we are a center party. We care about being the voice of the center in the political spectrum."

"WE MUST NORMALIZE THE COUNTRY"

Criticizing government policies in harsh language throughout his statements, Çömez expressed that Turkey must get rid of its current management approach.

Stating, "We are ready to take all kinds of responsibility for the country to get out of its current situation. There is a need for a unity that will normalize Turkey again and re-establish democratic principles," Çömez pointed to a broad-based opposition front.
