The party changes of Aksu Mayor İsa Yıldırım, who left the CHP and joined the AKP yesterday, have been brought back to the agenda. It has been determined that Yıldırım has changed parties 8 times since he began his political career in 2004.

BADGE PINNED BY ERDOĞAN

It was reported that İsa Yıldırım's badge was pinned by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a ceremony held in Ankara following the party change. Yıldırım's attempt to kiss Erdoğan's hand during the ceremony also drew attention.

In a statement following the badge-pinning ceremony, Yıldırım described his joining the AKP as "a step that has been in his heart for a long time." His statement included the following remarks:

“With our President and AK Party Chairman Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan pinning our party badge, I experienced the pride and excitement of joining the AK Party family today, taking a step that has been in my heart for a long time. This decision is not just a political preference for me; it is a step I took with the sincere belief that it is the most correct way to serve our nation and our Aksu more strongly.”

Yıldırım stated that the AKP's service philosophy led him to this decision, expressing his belief that he could provide more effective services to the district. He noted that the badge pinned by Erdoğan holds a special meaning for him.

In the continuation of the statement,

“The AK Party's nation-oriented service philosophy, strong vision, and the stable political line and stance it has demonstrated across Turkey were the biggest reasons for our joining the AK Party. Being a part of this deep-rooted and great team is a great honor for me. I set out on this path to solve Aksu's problems faster and to deliver the service our fellow citizens deserve. My only concern is Aksu, my only love is Aksu,” the statement read.
