Korkusuz newspaper columnist Can Coşkun wrote that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will meet with a DEM Party delegation again following their contact on April 10. According to information he relayed from Ankara's political circles, the date for this second meeting is beginning to become clear, and a critical stage has been reached.

The most striking part of Coşkun's article is the information that a video showing a specific group symbolically "laying down arms" will be recorded under the control of the MIT, and that this recording will be presented to the Presidency first. Sharing this footage with the public is also on the agenda.

Following the meeting, it is expected that the process will move to a commission stage in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). According to Coşkun, both the MHP and the DEM Party will have decisive demands in the process. In this context, the content of the texts to be discussed in the commission is already a subject of debate.

It is reported that the MHP shows "high sensitivity" toward certain topics in the process and will clearly state its conditions for support.

DEM PARTY TO BRING “AMNESTY” AGENDA TO THE TABLE

On the other hand, it is being discussed in political circles that the DEM Party will bring the "general amnesty" topic, which it has prioritized since the beginning of the process, to the table. In particular, PKK prisoners in jails and files that have been under trial for a long time are at the center of this demand.

Within the AKP, it is stated that there is a tendency that this process should not be rushed. Leading figures of the party have expressed that lessons should be learned from the past and that the process should not be implemented without being placed on the right foundation in the public eye.
