PKK DISSOLVED ITSELF ON MAY 12
The process gained momentum with Öcalan's call on February 27 for the PKK to dissolve and lay down its arms. The call was answered on May 12 when the terrorist organization PKK dissolved itself. Following this historic step, all eyes have turned to the steps to be taken in the new era and to the DEM Party.

DEM PARTY IS TAKING TO THE FIELD
The DEM Party will take to the field with its deputies between May 16 and 18. Through visits to be organized in cities referred to as "martyr cities," the disarmament process and the new era will be explained to the public.

The party leadership will begin its Central Executive Committee (MYK), Party Assembly, and parliamentary group meetings on Monday.

WHO WILL BECOME THE DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE TBMM?
Following the passing of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, two names are coming to the fore in the lobbies for the vacant position of Deputy Speaker of the TBMM: Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar. The DEM Party will make its final decision on this matter next week.

CONGRESS CALENDAR MAY BE ON THE AGENDA
There is talk of moving up the DEM Party's 3rd Ordinary Congress, which was planned for October. The general expectation within the party is that the co-chairs will not change, but that there will be some changes in the Central Executive Committee (MYK).
