Praise for Devlet Bahçeli continues from the separatist terrorist organization PKK: He compared him to Atatürk!

Cemil Bayık, the so-called co-chair of the terrorist organization PKK, spoke on one of the organization's media outlets.

Bayık compared the role of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli in the initiated resolution process to that of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey.

Cemil Bayık likened Bahçeli's stance in the resolution process to the steps taken by Atatürk in the face of the difficulties of that era, stating: "He is taking Mustafa Kemal as a basis. When the Turkish state and nation were in danger, Mustafa Kemal also took the Soviets and the Kurds as a basis. He fought by relying on them and went to Lausanne. Bahçeli sees this; the times are different, but the situation is similar. That is why he took that step."

He claimed that Bahçeli's steps in the resolution process were taken in the name of "protecting national interests," just as Atatürk had done.

Bayık stated that while armed struggle served its purpose for a period, it should now be phased out.

Terrorist Bayık said, "Weapons served a purpose for a period. They no longer serve that purpose. What needed to be done through armed struggle has been done. From now on, it needs to be taken out of the equation, and other tools need to be brought into play."

HOW DID THE PROCESS BEGIN?

The so-called opening process had restarted with the statement made by Bahçeli at the parliamentary podium. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli invited Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, to Parliament and said, "Let him announce that he has disbanded the organization." Bahçeli had used the term "founding leader" for Öcalan.
