Praise for Sinem Dedetaş from Binali Yıldırım: 'She is running from success to success'
Speaking at the 70th anniversary event of the Chamber of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Binali Yıldırım drew attention with his words of praise for Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş.
The Chamber of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (GMO) of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) celebrated its 70th anniversary with a grand event held in Kurtköy on December 14, 2024.
The event, held under the name "Chamber Night," was attended by the 27th Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and GMO member Binali Yıldırım, as well as Üsküdar Mayor and 44th Term GMO Board Chair Sinem Dedetaş.
Dedetaş, a graduate of the Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, and Yıldırım, who graduated from the same faculty, both delivered speeches at the event. Yıldırım's remarks regarding Dedetaş became one of the most notable moments of the evening.
'WE ARE PROUD'
Former Prime Minister Yıldırım emphasized that his colleagues have carried out successful work not only in the field of naval architecture but also in various other sectors, stating, "Naval architects have not remained limited to their profession; they have achieved significant success in politics, social life, and the academic world. We are proud of our dear colleague and the mayor of our beautiful Üsküdar, Sinem Dedetaş, who is with us today."
The event featured discussions on the 70-year accumulation and achievements of the naval architecture profession.
