Served 13 years in prison for incitement and establishing a criminal organization: He went straight to Bahçeli
Former Ülkü Ocakları executive Abidin Bilgin was released after serving 13 years in prison and paid his first visit to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
Former Ülkü Ocakları Aegean Region and İzmir Provincial President Abidin Bilgin was released on July 23, 2025, after 13 years of imprisonment.
Bilgin, who was sentenced to 26 years and 5.5 months in prison for incitement to murder and establishing a criminal organization in the 2004 killing of Levent Ata in Karabağlar, İzmir, regained his freedom after completing the majority of his sentence.
CELEBRATED HIS RELEASE WITH BAHÇELİ
Immediately following his release, Abidin Bilgin visited MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on July 24, 2025.
During the visit, he stated, "On this day when I have regained my freedom after years of patience, struggle, and faith, visiting our Wise Leader Mr. Devlet Bahçeli and receiving his blessing is the greatest reward of this struggle. Not one, but a thousand of my lives be sacrificed for our Devlet Bey. May God never let us be without you."
