Statement on Davutoğlu from Nedim Yamalı, who moved from the Future Party to the AKP: 'The doors are closed to Davutoğlu'
Ankara MP Nedim Yamalı, who resigned from the Future Party and joined the AKP yesterday, reacted to Ahmet Davutoğlu's statements, saying, "The doors of the AK Party are closed to Ahmet Davutoğlu."
Ankara MP Nedim Yamalı, who resigned from the Future Party to join the AKP, had his party pin attached by AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following his speech at the party's parliamentary group meeting yesterday.
Following Yamalı's resignation, the Future Party's parliamentary group in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) fell, and the possibility of a merger between the Future, Felicity (Saadet), and DEVA parties had come to the agenda.
Prior to the resignation, reactions had emerged to Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu's statement, "There is a need for a major recovery movement. I am ready to support that movement," and it had been discussed as a potential return to the AKP.
STATEMENT FROM NEDİM YAMALI ON AHMET DAVUTOĞLU
Yamalı responded to these remarks by Davutoğlu by saying, "The doors of the AK Party are closed to Ahmet Davutoğlu."
Speaking to Millet News Agency and tv100, Yamalı stated that the alliance between the Future, Felicity, and DEVA parties did not receive approval at the ballot box and that it is not right for this alliance to continue.
Here are the statements of Yamalı, who entered Parliament after being elected from the CHP list:
"IT IS NOT RIGHT TO BLOCK THE PROCESS"
"We founded a new party, but we did not get the votes we wanted in the elections. The nation did not show favor. One should not be insistent. In politics, deadlock is not a solution. It is not right to block the process.
"THEY ELECTED AN MP THANKS TO US"
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had established the Democracy Alliance. However, the current CHP administration is moving in a different direction. For the first time in 50 years, the CHP elected an MP in Rize and Düzce thanks to us.
"THE AK PARTY'S DOORS ARE CLOSED TO DAVUTOĞLU"
The inside information I have received from the AK Party front is that the AK Party will not come together with Ahmet Davutoğlu. The doors of the AK Party are closed to Ahmet Davutoğlu."
