The name of the reconciliation process has changed: MHP's Feti Yıldız makes a 'Bahçeli Model' statement

The reconciliation process initiated by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli on October 22, 2024, continues through the disarmament of the terrorist organization PKK and the National Unity, Solidarity, and Democracy Commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

During the commission meeting held on September 17, academics presented examples of solutions from countries struggling with similar terrorist issues. Various models, from Canada to Colombia, were examined and proposals were submitted.

Yıldız made the following remarks regarding the process:

"The academics in the commission presented valuable suggestions from Canada to Colombia. They are all important, but they do not resemble ours. The name of this process is the Bahçeli model. Once the process is completed, the Bahçeli model will become a global example, enter the literature, and become the key to peace in conflict-ridden environments in the coming years. This process will be an example to the world."
