Which party can solve Turkey's problems? Striking results from the latest poll
In a survey conducted by Asal Araştırma across 26 provinces, the economy and the cost of living were identified as Turkey's biggest problems by a wide margin. One-third of the participants do not believe that any of the current political parties can solve these problems.
The results of the latest survey by the Asal Araştırma company revealed that citizens’ most important agenda item is the struggle to make ends meet. 65 percent of respondents answered the question "What do you think is Turkey’s most important problem?" with "Economy / Cost of living".
According to the poll results, 1 in 3 citizens think no political party can solve Turkey’s problems.
Asal Araştırma company shared with the public the results of a poll it conducted in 26 provinces between May 10-14, 2025, with 2,000 people aged 18 and over.
In the survey, participants were first asked the question "What do you think is Turkey’s most important problem?". Here are the answers:
Economy/Cost of Living: 65.6 percent
Justice/Legal System: 7.3 percent
Unemployment: 4 percent
Terrorism: 3.1 percent
Education: 2.4 percent
Urban transformation/Earthquake: 2.1 percent
Government: 2 percent
Security/Public Order: 1.4 percent
Opposition: 1.3 percent
Kurdish issue: 1.1 percent
Migration problem/Refugee: 1 percent
Health system: 0.7 percent
Other: 5.8 percent
No opinion/No answer: 2.2 percent
1 IN 3 SAID ‘NONE CAN SOLVE THEM’
The second question asked of participants in the survey revealed striking results. To the question "Which political party do you think can solve Turkey’s problems today?", 34.7 percent of citizens answered "None".
The proportion of those saying "AKP can solve them" stood at 26 percent, while those who chose the "CHP can solve them" option remained at 17.5 percent.
The poll produced the following results:
None: 34.7 percent
AKP: 26 percent
CHP: 17.5 percent
DEM Party: 4.6 percent
MHP: 4.3 percent
İYİ Party: 1.4 percent
Zafer Party: 1.2 percent
New Welfare Party: 1 percent
Other: 1.5 percent
No Opinion/No Answer: 7.8 percent
