While Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Gürlek moved to the Ministry of Justice, Erzurum Governor Çiftçi was brought to the Ministry of Interior.

MUSTAFA ÇİFTÇİ IS AN INFLUENTIAL NAME IN MHP CIRCLES

While it is being discussed that a balance is being maintained in Ankara, it is underlined that Mustafa Çiftçi, who was brought to the Ministry of Interior, is an influential name, especially in Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) circles.

Political commentators state that a balanced revision process in the cabinet was signaled following the meeting where the two leaders came together last month. It is emphasized that Mustafa Çiftçi's name came to the fore in this meeting and that the balances within the People's Alliance were taken into account.

Sözcü's Ankara Representative Aslı Kurtuluş Mutlu said, "A balance may have been observed in the appointments, it is a very strong possibility. This is what is already being talked about in Ankara. It is said that the new minister, Mustafa Çiftçi, is a very strong name, especially in the Idealist Hearths (Ülkü Ocakları) wing. Let us state that Çiftçi's name is frequently mentioned in the MHP."
