According to information obtained from police sources, Beyazgül was taken to the police station for processing and is expected to be referred to the courthouse following his interrogation.
REMOVED FROM POST, NEW APPOINTMENT MADE
The Gelecek Party Headquarters made a swift decision following the developments. It was announced that Yaşar Beyazgül was removed from his position as İzmir Provincial Chair following his detention.
Eyüp Akbaş, the party's Menderes District Chair, has been appointed as the new İzmir Provincial Chair in place of Beyazgül.
HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN REFERRED TO DISCIPLINARY BOARD
It has been learned that Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu initiated a disciplinary process against Yaşar Beyazgül on July 24, 2025, upon receiving information regarding him. In this context, Beyazgül, who was under investigation within the party, had his tenure terminated following the detention process that took place yesterday.
