GİK meeting begins in IYI Party! Will cooperation emerge from the meeting?

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had visited IYI Party leader Meral Akşener at the IYI Party Headquarters.

During the meeting, the alliance process was also discussed. While the leaders gave warm messages in their statements to the press after the meeting, IYI Party leader Meral Akşener pointed to the General Administrative Board (GİK) for cooperation in the local elections.

Özel, in his speech at the Antalya camp, stated that they respect both of the IYI Party's potential decisions.

According to information obtained before the GİK meeting, 21 of the 21 IYI Party district chairs in Ankara gave the green light to an alliance, while 2 suggested entering the elections independently.

VOTING EXPECTED

The IYI Party Presidential Council Meeting was held.

According to the information received, the Presidential Council Meeting, chaired by IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener and held in the party's general headquarters annex building, lasted approximately 3 hours.

In addition to the members of the presidential council, IYI Party deputies and members of the Central Disciplinary Board attended the meeting.

At the meeting, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's proposal for cooperation with the IYI Party in the local elections was discussed. The staff conveyed their views on this issue to Akşener.

After the meeting ended, IYI Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu, who came to the press members, said, "It was a very good meeting where everyone expressed their views."

Zorlu stated that they would make a statement after the General Administrative Board meeting, which will start at 15:00.

At the General Administrative Board meeting, 50 members will convey their views to Akşener regarding Özel's election cooperation proposal. A vote on the said cooperation is also expected at the meeting.
