Honeymoon good news from İnan Güney for newlyweds

CHP Beyoğlu Mayor İnan Güney has allocated the mayoral residence located at the Kefken Youth Camp to couples who have recently married and meet the requirement of residing in Beyoğlu. The house, which was used as a summer residence by the mayor and his family in previous terms, will now serve as a destination where newlyweds who cannot afford a honeymoon can stay for 5 nights and 6 days free of charge.

MAYORAL RESIDENCE ALLOCATED TO NEWLYWEDS

Beyoğlu Municipality has detached houses at its Kefken Youth Camp, located by the sea in Kocaeli, for the accommodation of those who come for vacation and socialization. One of these houses is the mayoral residence, which was reserved for the mayor and his family. The mayoral residence, which was allocated to the mayor in previous terms, will now be allocated to newly married couples.

Mayor Güney made the following statement regarding the matter:

"From the first day I took office, we took stock of the municipality's resources. Throughout our election campaign, we encountered many young people who wanted to get married but were postponing it due to financial conditions. When we saw that the residence in Kefken was allocated to the mayor as a summer house, we decided to use it as support for couples who are getting married. Our basic principle is to share the opportunities, wealth, and beauty of Beyoğlu fairly and equally with everyone."

ONLY REQUIREMENT IS RESIDENCY IN BEYOĞLU

For the application requirements, at least one of the couples must reside in Beyoğlu, have been married after July 1, 2024, and be a Turkish citizen. Following the pre-registrations to be made at http://beyoglu.bel.tr/kefken-balayi-kayit/, the Social Assistance Affairs Directorate will evaluate the applications by considering the social status of the applicants.

TRANSPORTATION AND MEALS TO THE CAMP ARE FREE

Beyoğlu Municipality's Kefken Camp is a destination for retirees, people with disabilities, and day visitors during this period, in addition to students from middle schools, high schools, and universities. In the camp, where a different group is hosted every week, newly married couples will have the opportunity to stay for 5 nights and 6 days. Transportation to the Kefken camp and meals will also be provided free of charge.
