Harsh words from Berhan Şimşek, expelled from CHP, to Özel and İmamoğlu: 'We will take the party back one day'

Former MP and actor Berhan Şimşek, who was expelled from the Republican People's Party (CHP), made highly controversial remarks during a live broadcast. Following his expulsion from the CHP on October 20, Şimşek stated, "The place I have been expelled from is currently a company owned by Ekrem İmamoğlu, with Özgür Özel serving as its CEO."

Stating that the current CHP administration is being run like a company, Şimşek criticized the situation within the party. "I do not want shares or a stake in this company. I am a member of the Republican People's Party," Şimşek said, adding, "I cannot be part of a chairmanship and party management that has been bought with money. My struggle until today has been to protect the roots, the trunk, the branches, and the leaves of the Republican People's Party."

Criticizing political structures, Şimşek said, "Tomorrow, someone might come along, spend 50 million dollars, and buy the members of the ruling party as well as the opposition's convention delegates. This becomes a national security issue."

Continuing his harsh criticism of the current CHP leadership, Şimşek described Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel as "tenants." Şimşek stated, "Those friends are tenants; we, the landlords, will definitely take back the CHP management one day."
