On Kılıçdaroğlu's agenda were the mayors who left the CHP to join the AKP. Reacting to these defections, Kılıçdaroğlu used harsh language, particularly regarding allegations of corruption.
"The only port of refuge for mayors who commit theft and corruption is the AK Party Headquarters. There are badge-pinning ceremonies for those who leave. When you look at those ceremonies, you see a helpless face that has been taken captive."
