Harsh words from Özgür Özel to Lütfü Savaş! 'The day will come when we too...'

CHP leader Özgür Özel visited those imprisoned at Silivri Prison, including Ekrem İmamoğlu. Following the visit, Özel made statements to members of the press. Özel reacted to the application made to the court by former CHP delegates, including former Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş, requesting the cancellation of the elections during the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress process.

Özel stated, "While the country truly has so many troubles and problems, they have occupied the country's agenda so much with these unnecessary matters; it is a nonsensical act by that unnecessary name, done solely to get his name mentioned, which is unnecessary, futile, and will yield no results. Like the previous ones, this too will be rejected by the relevant courts. They are struggling in vain; this is such indigestion. Whereas we, as the Republican People's Party, are dealing with both the citizens' troubles and our own lives here. But the day will come when all of these will be accounted for. The day will come when we too will file lawsuits and hold people accountable. Let them continue to busy themselves with these futile efforts. He has known Özgür Özel very little.
