Optimar Research Company's local election poll, which was conducted with 5,000 people in Istanbul last month, was featured in a column by İsmail Saymaz, who stated that Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu leads his closest rival by 12 points.

According to the poll, the results are as follows:

If İmamoğlu were to run against Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, İmamoğlu would receive 46.3 percent of the vote, while Koca would receive 34.9 percent. The percentage of those who said they would not vote for either was 18.8 percent.

If İmamoğlu were to run against former Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, İmamoğlu would receive 48.8 percent, while Kurum would receive 30.2 percent. The percentage of those who said they would not vote for either was 20.9 percent.

If İmamoğlu were to run against former Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, İmamoğlu would receive 51 percent, while Soylu would receive 28.5 percent. Those who said they would not vote for either were 20.6 percent.

If İmamoğlu were to run against Esenler Mayor Tevfik Göksu, İmamoğlu would receive 50.3 percent, while Göksu would receive 26.5 percent. The percentage of those who said they would not vote for either was 23.1 percent.

If İmamoğlu were to run against former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, İmamoğlu would receive 49.9 percent, while Karaismailoğlu would receive 23.3 percent. The percentage of those who said they would not vote for either was 26.8 percent.

On the other hand, the research shows that 42.6 percent of Istanbul residents find İmamoğlu successful, while 34.4 percent view him as unsuccessful. 23 percent say he is "average." When asked, "Would you vote for İmamoğlu if he were a candidate?", 45.5 percent answered "Yes," while 41.8 percent answered "No." 12.7 percent are undecided.
