He had hastily deleted his İmralı post: Şamil Tayyar explains why he deleted his post!
Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar explained why he deleted his post regarding the visit to İmralı and stated that this visit had turned into PKK propaganda.
Şamil Tayyar has explained the reason for his post regarding the visit to İmralı, which he shared on his social media account last night and subsequently deleted. In a statement made after deleting the post, Tayyar noted that the visit had turned into PKK and Öcalan propaganda.
Tayyar stated, "We wrote a few lines last night, and we deleted them when some friends said, 'It will harm the process, confidentiality is important.' Even though it was written with great care and while protecting the state's legal interests. However, it turns out that Gülistan Koçyiğit from the DEM Party has described the visit at length. Moreover, by filtering out important issues and only engaging in praise of Öcalan and the PKK. Naturally, the İmralı visit turned into PKK/Öcalan propaganda."
Tayyar stated that the notes from İmralı were already known by many terrorists and that keeping these notes hidden provided no benefit. "Furthermore, the İmralı notes have already reached dozens of terrorists via the DEM Party, from Murat Karayılan to Cemil Bayık, and from İlham Ahmed to Mazlum Abdi. In that case, what is the benefit of keeping these notes hidden?" he said.
Arguing that the process should be managed more transparently, Tayyar expressed his belief that it would be beneficial to separate the parts concerning international relations and share them with the public.
