Sadi Teker, a Bayrampaşa Municipal Council member who resigned from the CHP to join the AKP, has been appointed as deputy mayor. Teker had recently posed laughing with Ali Karahasanoğlu, who resigned from the CHP alongside him.
Following the arrest of CHP Bayrampaşa Mayor Hasan Mutlu, the municipal administration passed to the AKP in the second round of the acting mayor election. AKP member İbrahim Akın became the acting mayor of Bayrampaşa.
During this process, CHP municipal council members Sadi Teker and Ali Karahasanoğlu resigned and joined the ranks of the AKP.
Recently, Ali Karahasanoğlu shared a photo on his X account of himself and Sadi Teker laughing, with the caption "We are continuing from here, friends," which drew significant backlash.
