How much Treasury aid will political parties receive in 2024?
The Treasury aid to be received by political parties has been finalized. Due to the local elections this year, the aid is doubled. In total, the AKP will receive 2 billion 658 million liras, the CHP 1 billion 892 million liras, the MHP 752 million liras, the IYI Party 722 million liras, and the Green Left Party 658 million liras in aid from the Treasury.
The amounts of Treasury aid to be provided to political parties next year have been finalized. The AKP will receive the highest amount of Treasury aid based on its vote share.
The amount of state aid is distributed according to the vote shares of the parties that passed the threshold in the election.
TREASURY AID TO 5 POLITICAL PARTIES
In the parliamentary elections on May 14, the AKP, CHP, MHP, IYI Party, and Green Left Party (YSP) passed the 7 percent threshold and became eligible to receive Treasury aid.
MOST TREASURY AID GOES TO AKP
In January, the AKP will be given 1 billion 329 million liras, the CHP 946 million liras, the MHP 376 million liras, the IYI Party 361 million liras, and the Green Left Party 329 million liras in Treasury aid.
According to the law, Treasury aid is applied as twice the normal amount in years with local elections, and three times the amount in years with parliamentary elections.
For this reason, following the announcement of the local election calendar by the Supreme Election Council, a second payment equal to the January amount will be made to the 5 political parties within 10 days.
In total, the AKP will receive 2 billion 658 million liras, the CHP 1 billion 892 million liras, the MHP 752 million liras, the IYI Party 722 million liras, and the Green Left Party 658 million liras in aid from the Treasury.
The departure of deputies elected from the quotas of the Saadet Party, DEVA, and Future Party from the CHP will not affect the Treasury aid received by the party.
