In the primary election held for the YENİ Party Ankara Provincial Presidency, the party's Founding Provincial President of Ankara, İbrahim Karaca, received the most votes and finished the race in the lead.
In the primary where five candidates competed, 26 thousand 664 out of 54 thousand 28 members went to the polls. The turnout rate was announced as 49.4 percent.
According to the results, İbrahim Karaca received 19 thousand 103 votes. Among the other candidates, Pınar Aygün Doğusoy remained at 5 thousand 164, Süreyya Yılmaz at 1068, Murat Yıldız at 1036, and Fatma Saçak Akbulut at 177 votes. 135 votes were declared invalid in the election.
Evaluating the election result, Karaca stated, "The winner has been democracy and our provincial organization. We will grow our struggle together, shoulder to shoulder, without division. We have left the primary behind, now our goal is power."
