İmamoğlu earthquake in the Turkish Parliament: Proceedings suspended

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has clarified the roadmap it will follow in Parliament. In line with the decision reached at the closed-door meeting of the CHP Parliamentary Group, it has been learned that CHP deputies will boycott the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

APPLAUSE PROTEST

CHP deputies will attend the TBMM General Assembly session, which is set to open today at 14:00. However, the deputies will stage a protest with applause at the opening of the General Assembly and will prevent the session from proceeding normally. This stance by the CHP Group is being interpreted as a move to paralyze parliamentary work.

According to information obtained, after the General Assembly adjourns, all CHP deputies currently in Ankara will leave the TBMM and head toward the CHP Headquarters. With this move, the CHP leadership aims to send a strong message of solidarity by gathering at the party headquarters following their actions on the parliamentary floor.

MYK MEMBERS WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE

In addition to the Parliamentary Group, members of the Central Executive Committee (MYK) who are in Ankara will also take part in the CHP's display of solidarity. The MYK members and deputies will both emphasize party unity and share the strategy they will follow in parliamentary proceedings with the public.

Following these developments, it was stated that the proceedings of the TBMM have been suspended.
