İmamoğlu leads in AKP's Istanbul poll: One in three people do not recognize his rival
The AKP has accelerated its efforts ahead of the 2024 local elections. In a poll conducted for Istanbul, 34.8 percent of participants answered "Ekrem İmamoğlu" to the question of "Who should be the Mayor?"
The results of the poll commissioned by the AKP for Istanbul have emerged.
According to a report by Odatv, the Istanbul poll, the results of which were released on November 29, showed that CHP's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is leading by a wide margin.

In the poll, 34.8 percent of participants answered "Ekrem İmamoğlu" to the question "Who should be the Mayor of Istanbul?" While 30 percent said "I have no opinion," 11.7 percent preferred the response "Depends on the candidate."
For the AKP, which was conducting a candidate survey in the poll, it was observed that Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, former Minister Murat Kurum, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Assembly AKP Group Deputy Chairman Tevfik Göksu stood out.
In measurements of candidate potential across Istanbul, it was understood that Minister Koca was in the lead with 40 percent saying they would "vote for him." In the poll, Koca was followed by Murat Kurum with 29 percent saying they would "vote for him," while Tevfik Göksu received 20 percent.
While Murat Kurum appeared as the prominent name in candidate potential among young people, he was followed by Fahrettin Koca. However, while the rate of those who answered "I do not recognize" for Murat Kurum was 27 percent, this rate was observed to be 13 percent for Fahrettin Koca.
