Imamoğlu's harsh response to the party congress crisis: 'They are not my fellow travelers'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke harshly regarding the party congress debates within the CHP.
As the party congress debates continue within the CHP, a harsh response has come from IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Journalist Barış Yarkadaş reported that İmamoğlu said regarding the congress debates, "These debates are harming the party. Anyone who wants a party congress is not my fellow traveler, period."
Speaking on the program Taksim Meydanı with Gürkan Hacır, broadcast on tv100, tv100 columnist Barış Yarkadaş provided flash inside information regarding whether İmamoğlu wants a party congress. Yarkadaş used the following expressions:
“CHP's Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik held a meeting in recent days.
It was a meeting attended by district chairs, mayors, and district administrators. After the presentation, Ekrem İmamoğlu spoke for 40 minutes. He conveyed his thoughts on the trustee appointment in Esenyurt and his own ideas."
