Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu will meet with Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) Chairman Erkan Baş today at 17:30 at the TİP Istanbul Provincial Organization. It was reported that İmamoğlu will meet with Baş as part of the political contacts he has been conducting following the appointment of trustees.

HE CUT HIS PROGRAM SHORT AFTER THE TRUSTEE DECISION

After trustees were recently appointed to the CHP-run Esenyurt Municipality and the DEM Party-run Mardin, Batman, and Halfeti municipalities, İmamoğlu cut his program in Egypt short and returned to Turkey, requesting appointments from all political party leaders represented in Parliament.

HE MET WITH LEADERS

In this context, İmamoğlu met with CHP Group Chairman Özgür Özel, Felicity Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan, and Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ on Wednesday to exchange views on the trustee process.

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli did not accept İmamoğlu's request for an appointment, while the DEM Party Co-Chairs were unable to meet with İmamoğlu as they were in the regions where trustees were appointed.
