IMM denies claims of '100 apartments given to CHP'

In a statement issued by the IMM, a response was given to the allegations that “100 apartments were given to CHP delegates” by KİPTAŞ. The statement said, "Linking these sales to the Congress held approximately 1.5 years later on November 4-5, 2023, is intended to mislead the public."

The statement from the IMM is as follows:

"The KİPTAŞ Pendik Arkatlı Evler project is not a social housing project but a REVENUE SHARING RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT carried out through the revenue-sharing method.

The start of sales for the project was announced starting from November 20, 2021, on social media, in press and media outlets, and through outdoor advertising channels.

Sales prices were determined by the contractor in accordance with the contract, based on appraisal reports prepared by independent valuation firms and taking market conditions into account, and were approved by KİPTAŞ.

Sales, which began on December 11, 2021, with initial prices set approximately 25% above the appraisal reports, were conducted openly to everyone at the sales office in the project area.

The sale of the first 350 apartments, for which prices and sales conditions were determined by the contractor, was carried out in stages, and upon the completion of the first stage of sales in a short time, price increases were applied before each subsequent stage, with sales transactions completed on July 7, 2022.

Linking these sales to the Congress held approximately 1.5 years later on November 4-5, 2023, is intended to mislead the public.

All citizens who have become homeowners in projects realized to date by IMM subsidiary KİPTAŞ have benefited in line with market conditions and economic developments. Considering the sudden increases in real estate prices in Turkey over the last 5 years, especially during the period when sales for the project began, the “below-value sale” allegations featured in some press and media outlets are entirely distorted, biased, and malicious.

KİPTAŞ bases all sales transactions of its projects on official and auditable documents and has not carried out any privileged sales in favor of any person, institution, or political structure. Allegations to this effect have no material or legal basis and do not reflect the truth.

KİPTAŞ's corporate reputation and activities based on public interest cannot be damaged by such slander and smear campaigns. Accordingly, legal rights will continue to be exercised decisively against all attempts to harm the company's reputation; the process will be presented to the public with full transparency."
