Imralı session in Ankara... First signal from AKP: 'We view it positively'
Ahead of the critical Imralı vote to be held tomorrow by the Process Commission, the AKP has concluded its closed-door group meeting. Following the meeting, AKP Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler announced that they 'view the visit positively.'
The focus of the political agenda has shifted to the Imralı vote of the TBMM National Brotherhood, Solidarity and Democracy Commission, which will take place tomorrow. Before the vote, parties held consecutive meetings in Ankara to determine their positions.
SURPRISE MEETING IN ANKARA
It was reported that before the AKP's closed-door group meeting, MHP's Feti Yıldız and Erkan Akçay met with AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler. Making a statement regarding the meeting, Yıldız stated that the meeting was not related to tomorrow's vote, saying that it was merely an 'exchange of ideas on a legal matter.'
Yıldız also commented on the Imralı vote that the Commission, established in line with the 'Terror-Free Turkey' vision, will hold tomorrow, stating, 'Since there is no legislative proposal, a simple majority is sufficient. This is very clear.'
ONE-HOUR EVALUATION IN AKP
It was reported that AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, and Commission members attended the meeting held at the TBMM AKP Group Presidency. It was stated that the meeting was held within the scope of evaluations regarding the Imralı visit process.
The closed-door meeting, which lasted approximately one hour, has concluded.

Making a statement after the meeting, AKP Group Deputy Chairman Abdullah Güler expressed the party's position regarding a possible visit to Imralı with the following words:
'We view the visit to Imralı positively.'
