Sharing on his social media account, İnan Mutlu drew attention to the parliamentary arithmetic through the lens of deputies switching to the AKP. Mutlu claimed that the ruling party is “rushing toward a constitutional amendment without a referendum.”
In his post, Mutlu stated that the AKP had 268 deputies after the election, and that this number has risen to 277 today. According to Mutlu, if “3 more deputies switch today,” the AKP’s seat count will reach 280.

Evaluating the increase in the AKP’s number of deputies alongside the debate on representation, Mutlu stated, “The fact that the ruling party, whose social support is declining, is increasing its number of deputies in Parliament brings the following question to mind: How well is the public represented in Parliament?”
