Interesting comment from İsmail Saymaz on Saadet Party's Istanbul candidate
With the local elections approaching, the Saadet Party has announced its candidate to compete for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) presidency. Journalist İsmail Saymaz offered an interesting assessment of the Saadet Party's candidate, Birol Aydın, who will be running to win Istanbul.
The Saadet Party, which decided to act together with the CHP in the presidential elections, has decided to run alone in the local elections and has determined a candidate. Following the announcement of the name Birol Aydın, journalist İsmail Saymaz made a post.
"QUITE STRANGE"
Criticizing the Saadet Party's Istanbul candidate Birol Aydın, Saymaz said, "It is quite strange. Saadet Party MP Birol Aydın, who was elected from the CHP list, is running as a candidate in Istanbul and telling CHP's Ekrem İmamoğlu, 'Istanbul does not have another five years to lose with you.' By the way... Saadet is maintaining its group in parliament thanks to an MP provided by the CHP."
Saadet Party İBB candidate Birol Aydın will compete in the March 31, 2024 local elections against AKP candidate Murat Kurum, CHP candidate and incumbent mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, İYİ Party candidate Buğra Kavuncu, and Zafer Party candidate Azmi Karamahmutoğlu.
Journalist İsmail Saymaz, in his statement on his X account, reminded that the Saadet Party maintains its group with an MP provided by the CHP, and said the following:
