Irregularities in Fatih Municipality pointed out by Özgür Özel revealed: Details of the report shared

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated that he would disclose the irregularities contained in the Court of Accounts report regarding Fatih Municipality.

Özel claimed that corruption in AKP-run municipalities is not being addressed and expressed that he would bring this situation to the public's attention.

IRREGULARITIES IN THE COURT OF ACCOUNTS REPORT

Öztürk said, "There is a 20-page report. It includes issues such as the use of advertising spaces without a tender and deputy mayors receiving attendance fees from more than one company.

Furthermore, sufficient employment is not provided within the scope of disability and social services, and the squatter housing fund is not being used for its intended purpose," he said.

Öztürk stated that these issues would be detailed by Özgür Özel.

On the other hand, allegations that operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality could spread to other opposition-run municipalities are on the agenda. Emphasizing that metropolitan cities are also within this scope, Öztürk said, "This incident will not remain limited to Istanbul. There are preparations for operations in other provinces as well."

It is stated that the files prepared by the Ministry of Interior inspectors will be forwarded to the public prosecutor's offices and that similar operations could begin in other provinces. These developments highlight the increasing pressure on opposition-run municipalities.

Advertising spaces were used as if they had been tendered, even though they should not have been.

Deputy mayors are receiving attendance fees from more than one municipal company.

The number of people employed within the scope of disability and social services is not at the rate stipulated by legislation.

Amounts accumulated in the squatter housing fund are being used for the administration's current expenditures, contrary to their purpose.

Expropriations are not being tracked at the land registry office.

Parking fees are being spent on current expenditures instead of the construction of parking lots.

Income tax withholding was not performed on rent payments. Those benefiting from property tax provisions were not tracked.

Places that should be open to the public as park areas were used in exchange for occupation fees (ecri misil).
