Koray Aydın, who stood out among the figures who left the MHP in 2017 to found the İYİ Party, had served in important levels of the party and assumed the role of İYİ Party Group Chairman in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). However, he resigned from the İYİ Party in June 2024 due to disagreements within the party.

In political circles, claims that Aydın will join the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in the coming period remain a hot topic. While the recent dissolution of provincial and district organizations within the MHP and the acceleration of personnel changes in the party have drawn attention, it is stated that Koray Aydın could act in alignment with leader Devlet Bahçeli.

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, it is also being evaluated within party circles that the MHP leadership plans to bring together important figures who had previously turned to different parties along the nationalist line. According to the prominent claim in the corridors, there is a possibility that an influential position, such as secretary-general, could be offered to Koray Aydın within the MHP.

Aydın, who was a candidate for the İYİ Party chairmanship after Meral Akşener left the post at the extraordinary congress held in June, could not conclude this race as he had expected and left the party due to differences of opinion that emerged with the management.
