Istanbul backstage before local elections: Two names stand out in the AKP!
Candidacy speculation has accelerated ahead of the local elections. It is claimed that two names have recently come to the forefront for Istanbul.
Following the response to the CHP's calls for change, political speculation regarding the local elections has gained momentum.
Hürriyet columnist Deniz Sipahi shared information from behind the scenes.
2 NAMES STAND OUT
Stating that the new CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will continue with Ekrem İmamoğlu in Istanbul, Sipahi shared the following backstage information regarding the AKP:
"In the Istanbul AK Party, the names of Murat Kurum and Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca are standing out. First of all, I think the AK Party and the MHP will wait for the CHP's candidate. The second issue reflected in the backstage is that the AK Party Headquarters has accelerated its polling efforts, and that alternative names for metropolitan candidates will become clear after the consultation poll to be held at the end of the month... But the tendency is that it may not be from among the members of parliament, but rather names who have served in the party and are known by the public... We will wait a while longer to learn the candidates."
