It has become clear who CHP will field against Maçoğlu in Kadıköy!

As the local elections approach, political parties continue to announce their mayoral candidates.

While the CHP has announced its metropolitan and district candidates in İzmir, candidates in some districts in Istanbul, including Kadıköy, have not yet been finalized.

Journalist and former CHP MP Barış Yarkadaş shared insider information he obtained regarding the CHP's Kadıköy candidate.

CLAIM OF TÜLİN HADİ FOR KADIKÖY

Speaking on Tv100, Yarkadaş stated that many names were being analyzed and research was being conducted in Kadıköy, saying, "According to the information I obtained on Friday, the name of architect Tülin Hadi is being considered for the CHP's Kadıköy candidacy."

Yarkadaş said the following:

"Tülin Hadi is an architect; she also served as the president of the City Council after Ekrem İmamoğlu won the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, a position she held for one year. She is a faculty member at two universities. She is a resident of Caddebostan and a Kadıköy local."

TKP HAD NOMINATED MAÇOĞLU

On the other hand, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) had announced Tunceli Mayor Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu as its candidate for Kadıköy Mayor in the March 31, 2024, local elections. The nomination of Maçoğlu in Kadıköy, which is seen as a stronghold of the CHP, had sparked debates about the potential splitting of votes.

WHO IS TÜLİN HADİ?

Born in Istanbul in 1969, Tülin Hadi graduated from Saint Michel High School in 1987 and from the ITU Faculty of Architecture in 1993.

She has received awards in national and international architectural project competitions and has served as a jury member for national competitions.

She has worked as a project supervisor in architecture faculty studios at Istanbul Commerce University, Bahçeşehir University, and Eskişehir Anadolu University.
