'It has been a great disaster for the AKP,' he said: Power struggle between the Palace and the party leadership!

CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut explained the damage the Presidential Government System has caused to Turkey and the AKP with striking examples during a television program he attended. Bulut emphasized that the system has led to serious disintegration not only for the country but also within the AKP.

“WE FORESAW THE DISASTER FOR THE AKP”

Stating that they had previously warned that the partisan presidential system would bring disaster to Turkey, Bulut said, “We also warned that this system would lead to a disaster within the AKP,” noting that the partisan presidential system, with its one-man management approach, has caused other political figures to disappear.

DEEP DISCONNECT BETWEEN THE PALACE AND PARTY LEADERSHIP

Stating that ministers have become ineffective under the Presidential Government System and that decisions are now made by offices and agencies around the palace, Bulut said, “Those who govern the country are now small cliques around the palace.” He stated that the AKP's old cadres have been sidelined and that the new names replacing them are incompetent and ineffective. He expressed that this situation has increased bribery and corruption.

STRUGGLE WITHIN THE RULING POWER

Burhanettin Bulut stated that there will be a major struggle between groups within the ruling power in the post-Erdoğan era. Pointing out that the conflict within the party is growing, he said, “One faction is pushing for Erdoğan to stay, while the other is positioning itself for the post-Erdoğan period.”

“THE SYSTEM IS LEADING THE COUNTRY TOWARD BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION”

Bulut stated that the Presidential Government System has become a system where bribery and corruption have increased. "It is impossible for the fighting and noise to end in this system," said Bulut, adding that the question of whether Erdoğan will continue and which names will come to power after Erdoğan has created a major debate.

Criticizing President Erdoğan's son for sitting in a governor's chair, Bulut said, "Handing over a state seat to a politician's son is a practice not even seen in this authoritarian regime." He stated that the governor's chair is a state office and should not be used for personal or partisan interests.

"STATE INSTITUTIONS ARE BEING DAMAGED"

Expressing that state institutions are being damaged and that law and democracy are eroding, Burhanettin Bulut said, "The interventions made into state institutions are a typical example of what we are experiencing today."
